The natural stone house is located in an idyllic, quiet location on the Azores island “Pico” on the south side of the island. With a living area of 90 sqm on 2 levels, it offers you an optimal use and is ideal for a long-term stay. Spend the winter in pleasant and mild temperatures. The summer with daytime temperatures between 19°C and 26°C also invites you to a long stay. It is also suitable for an external workplace.

On the upper floor there is a living room with a combined dining area and fireplace and a bedroom with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 meters) and built-in wardrobes. The well-equipped kitchen has all the necessary household appliances such as ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and extensive crockery. Through the kitchen you can access the covered terrace with natural stone oven and grill.

The lower floor has another bedroom with double bed (1.80 x 2.00 meters), wardrobe, sideboard and fireplace and a shower room. Through a door you can get to the courtyard.

In the annex is a washing machine, dryer and ironing board. Utensils such as garden furniture – loungers and parasol and other odds and ends are stored in the annex. A former wine cellar is now used as an outdoor kitchen and includes a 4-burner gas range and sink.

Nearby there is an outdoor swimming pool, mini market, hairdresser, cafes and restaurants as well as bus service to other places. The sea can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes.

The next bigger village Lajes is about 6 km away. There you will find pharmacies, doctors and the hospital. Furthermore you will find banks, bars, marina, church, museums, police, gas station as well as the post office.

Supermarkets are also available, so that you can supply yourself well for your stay. A car is recommended.

Around the island there are several seawater outdoor swimming pools or natural swimming pools. The island of Faial, which is 8 km away, can be reached by car and passenger ferry in 20 minutes and the neighboring island of S.Jorge in 50 minutes.

Since the Azores belong to Portugal, a valid identity card is sufficient for entry (EU countries). Administratively, the Azores are an autonomous region. The currency unit is the Euro, the power supply is 220 volts. The time difference to Germany is 2 hours.

The airport PIX is about 45 km away.

Some garden maintenance (lawn mowing, sweeping, weeding, etc.) is desired and can be done by a helper for 50,00€ per month if desired.

A deposit equal to one rent will be charged and the minimum rental period is 3 months.
